Dr. Isabell Stamm - Group Leader

In the year of 2012 Isabell Stamm finished her doctorate at the Freie University of Berlin presenting a qualitative study on German entrepreneurial families. After that she started working as a Post-Doc on her research project at UC Berkeley called 'Life Course Dynamics in American Entrepreneurial Families and their effect on business continuity." In addition, Isabell is a member of the 'Successful Transgenerational Entrepreneurship Practise' (STEP) Team at Stetson University Florida, works in a research team on the analysis of work-life-boundary construction in entrepreneurial families, and is a board member of the Humanities and Social Sciences Association (HSSA) at UC Berkeley. Since the beginning of 2017 she is leading our FREIGEIST research group on "Entrepreneurial Group Dynamics" funded by the Volkswagen foundation.

Marie Gutzeit - Research Assistant

Marie Gutzeit joined the project "Entrepreneurial Group Dynamics" in June 2017.  As a research assistant and PhD candidate she is working in the Sub-Project "Implementing imagined future: Innovation projects in entrepreneurial groups".

She holds a Diplom in sociology (2016) with a minor in psychology from the TU Dresden.

In her diploma thesis she conducted an ethnograpical study in an intentional community in Saxony. She investigated the community´s  group dynamics through the category of time. Using Bourdieu´s field theory, she outlined, for example, the importance of (having) time for the everyday life and for the community identity.

In 2014, she studied sociology and history at the New University of Lisbon (NOVA) . During this period she was also a student assistant in the project "ESCXEL - Network of School of Excellence" at the Centre for Sociolgy Studies (former CESNOVA, now CICS.NOVA).

Maik Dammann - Student Assistant

Maik Dammann joined the research project in April 2017 and deals with the process of collecting and analyzing quantitative data on Entrepreneurial Groups to gain empirical insight into their dynamics. He is currently completing his master's degree in sociology at Bielefeld University. His main focus is on organizational research, the sociology of work and empirical methods.


Steffen Heth - Student Assistant

In the beginning of 2017, Steffen Heth joined the research project to start exploring entrepreneurial group dynamics. Since 2014 he is studying Sociology with a minor in Statistics at the Technological University of Berlin.
